Spark Grant Program

In partnership with Open Jar Studios, this grant awards studio space to artists looking to develop new work. These funds aim to support a wide variety of multidisciplinary artists with projects at any stage in the developmental process. Applications are now open and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Eligibility Criteria and Guidelines:

  • Open to all multidisciplinary and performing artists.

  • Grants can be used for any activities related to the development of the artist’s project, including meetings, rehearsals, presentations, filming, etc.

  • If the project is not wholly original or in the public domain, you must have rights for all levels of production, and you’ll be asked to provide documentation such as a letter from the rights holder proving that you have the rights, when you apply.

  • All studio bookings must be made after the notification of the award.

  • Applicants that illustrate a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through reach, theme and/or by design are encouraged to apply.

  • Business Affiliates of Open Jar Studios are ineligible.
